Nice ride, I am sure somebody will snatch it up. If it was only fuel injected.

The MAF rebuild only lasted 40k?

The MAF rebuild only lasted 40k?

If it is true that the MAF engine lasted only 40K, it would not be a surprise. I've heard of more than a couple of their engines lasting much less than you would expect of a Toyota engine.

Curious - where is the leak onto the front diff housing coming from? Pan gasket maybe? Or timing gear cover seal at the pulley?

Any idea who's springs those are? Alcan maybe?

I've heard the same thing about MAF engines too.

My ex-wife (ugh) was driving it down to Phoenix (in 2008) and she said it over heated and was 'driving funny'. She stopped driving it and had it towed to a Midas. The guys there said the head was cracked and would need a couple thousand to fix it.

I was skeptical and had it towed back up to northern Arizona and eventually (when I had the $) had it sent to my Cruiser mechanic in Flagstaff. He told me the head was warped not cracked and that's when the recent engine rebuild happened. Let's just say that my ex-wife never drove it again and we were divorced shortly before I left Arizona...

I had a couple questions up there...any answers?

Here on this board we have a 1999 UZJ100 with 138k miles FS for $9k and a 1994 FZJ80 30 300k miles for $4.5k. I am considering both of those plus your 60. I like 60s, even though I have been a 40 series guy for 30 years. My wife might like the comfort of the 100, and it seems like all my fellow Rising Sun buddies have traded their 40s in for 80s because 80s are so capable and comfortable. At the end of the day I don't need another Land Cruiser, but as I explain to my wife, each model has its special purpose. I need my FJ45 because I need a pickup truck!

Not too sure where the leak is coming from, I thought it could be the gasket but the leak never seemed that bad so I didn't investigate further.

Any idea who's springs those are? Alcan maybe?

The previous owner had those springs put on and the receipt from the shop doesn't state where they were ordered from.

Was this 60 parked up at the lookout mountain exit along I-70 a few weeks ago with a for sale sign on it? It looked pretty nice.
