I was over at Oleg's garage on Saturday, and took some pictures of this machine. Can you guess what it is and what it's running under the hood?

Here's a few under-the-hood pictures to help the guessing.

After looking again I agree it's not a RX but it does have Licksass headlights....

Definately not a Prado...

Geez Guys, don't you read Russian? Its right there in yellow letters.

Ummmm, can someone translate for me?

Crazy Russian turbo charged 4Runner with 80 axles, I say. People are going to freak out when they see that on the trail.

Not an 80- those rear windows are way different. My guess is Nissan Patrol (pic below)

Does someone actually wheel that truck? That fairlead in back looks surprisingly unsmashed..

edit: kind of cool, I was looking for a better picture and found this site: http://4wdsuv.auto-g.jp/shop/375/index.html#

I'll provide a hint: when I said to Oleg, "Oh, it's a _____," his reply was, "Well, the front half is."

Like so many of us, armed with a welder, grinder, plasma cutter and a few partial vehicles Oleg can fashion a whole vehicle out of what would have (possibly should have) been crusher fodder.

Unlike some of us... his results look, and work, really REEEEEALLY good.

Unless diesels work differant than I remember I don't believe they would need the individual ignition coils on each cylinder that moden crank triggered sequential fuel injection uses.

Edit: Just looked again and I think your right John. I see compression fitting injector lines. I do not see the coils I thought I did.

2nd edit..... After a closer look and a quick trip to the street where my 1 tom GMC is sitting I can verify now that John is right and it is a diesel and I can tell you it's a 6.6 Isuzu (Duramax)
