Can someone(s) tell me the Cat Convertor Requirements for Colorado? I have an FJ 60 Cruiser

You're required to have what was on it when new. so and fj60 is one cat

I believe it's per area...certain areas of Colorado do not require from what I understand.

There are areas that don't require emissions testing. realistically you can do whatever you want in those areas since there is no testing.

well don't put weld county in that group any more. i have to put a whole load of junk on the heap to get it to pass emissions. Stinks.

It's a federal crime to bypass your OE emissions system. So even if you do not live within the Air Care CO region and don't get inspections, you are in technical violation if you remove the cat. Not that I've ever heard of an individual being caught for it, but it does happen that dealers get in trouble for it. OTOH, there are a whole lot of things that are against the law despite any correlation to reality, so do your own due diligence.

Please do run a cat for all our sakes. There are few better emissions Widgets that work as well. I was here in the 70s and much prefer the air quality now despite the increased population.

The planet is ours only on loan.
