Sad day at the Farr household. We decided to sell it, but it's still hard to part with my 40. I owned it 12 years, from 4/1999 - 4/2011. :(

It's going to a Cruiserhead in Pismo Beach, CA.

Matt, Kinda feel bad you didn't get to drive it up to Evergreen that one last time on Monday! Good bye to "the Hulk"! Hope the new owner gets much enjoyment from "the Hulk" too...

I miss and regret selling the two 40's I've let go. Must be especially hard for you since you owned it for so long and it was such a cool 40. I understand though. May your kids never let you live it down. ;)

Another old cruiser leaves Colorado. :(

Wow. All good things must come to an end. I remember the white trim all over that thing when you got it. And I remember helping you rebuild the rear diff in the parking lot at E-hill. Oh well. Now you can afford to buy mine! :D

I did fine on the price. You never get what you put into it, but I didn't give it away.

Of all the vehicles I have sold, this one was by far the most emotional for me.

Congrats on the sale Matt but sad to see it go...

If you ever need a 40 "fix", feel free to stop by and take the 40 for a spin :thumb: - Heck, take it back to your place and wrench on it for a few weeks until the desire to own a 40 subsides a little again :hill:

To bad to see the Hulk go but I understand you have migrated to the 80. So I just have to post the video of the Hulk on Spring Creek again.

And another longer (10mb) one of Hulk and many other old school club members (like Kevin) giving it a go on Spring Creek. It's pretty humorous years later I must say.

Quoting Uncle Ben from when Romer sold his 40 - "40's are only to be sold at estate sales."

Brings a tear to my eye. :bawl:

I felt the same way when I sold my Alfa last summer.

Bummer Matt, we are looking down the same long road at some point in the future.

I bet you will still talk about it like a good friend!

Do you ever have that dream where you're in the garage and you look behind the current cars and find the old ones that you thought you sold years ago?

Matt,

I have very fond memories of the Hulk. You and I had some good times in the Hulk with Jake and Charlie. I can of see it as you finishing a very long chapter in your life. I hope you enjoy the next chapter.
:)
