I longed thought it would be  to have one of these...if they weren't so silly stupid expensive :hill:

I don't even see a price anymore...This company use to sell all sorts of RC helicopters, planes, blimps, etc. (EDIT: They still do http://www.rctoys.com/) The original dragonfly helicopter as I recall was upwards of $2k with accessories and now it just says "request quote" :D (EDIT: looks like the X6 starts at around $19k )

I don't know if this is the same type of unit used in the videos above but it sure looks like it...

Wasn't there a link posted here a while back of a "videocopter" checking out the Red Cone and Webster Pass area? Really cool as I recall.

I would have had way too much fun with one of these as a kid...

Very cool, and pricey.

Years ago when DSLR's came out there was a guy who used a RC helicopter with a camera on it to take pictures of properties for real estate purposes. He was doing pretty well till the FAA stopped him. They said since he was doing it in a commercial endeavor he needed their approval, which they declined. He had a great business going but big brother shut him down.

Wonder if the FAA changed their mind about this? If so it may be a good business to get into as long as you can fly a RC helicopter.
