I got all nerdy and programmed my 8900 using the software and man, that was nice. I've already logged some time entering some repeaters by hand in my HT, but want to better organize all that info, special memory banks etc...

Does anyone have the SW and cable so I can set up my HT better?

It's also used as my mobile rig in the Subaru, so easy scanning and access would be cool.

As I recall, Dave programmed by VX7R for me :)

For my 8800 I bought some software off the web, maybe the same software you used.

Sorry, not much help but if you have the cable for the VX how much harm can the software cause :hill:

:bolt:

Use the Commander software, it's good. Know that for the VX-6 it's still a bit rough. Also send Jim a few bucks, it's freeware but it cost him time to figure out the protocol and write the code. I use the RT Systems cable, it works. You can make one but the 4-conductor plug wasn't cheap and frankly worth the money for a COTS product.
