OK, sold the supercharged 80 with 177k miles and 3 inches of lift. Looking for a lower miles closer to srock 80 that the wife can get the kid in and out of the car seat without mountain climbing gear. Had my eye on a 95 with only 90k miles...he wanted 11k and I could only scrape together 10.5k...he is going to sell it for 11k to someone on eBay I guess. Strange world. Anyway, kep me in mind, as of tomorrow I will be without a car for the first time since college! ACK!

Timm, I still have my LX450 for sale. Need to quit being lazy and get it up on ebay (it's almost like I don't want to sell it  ) It might be high on miles for what you're looking for but it's in pretty good condition. Let me know.

Where are the details posted??

OK, the guy with the 95 is kinda bargaining. Here is the deal...very clean 95 80 with 90k miles, he just bought it recently, the first owner had it for 10 years and had it serviced at Stevinson. Cloth interior, dark green exterior, no lockers. 11k seems pretty cheap for such low miles. What do you guys think??

Personally, I think that is a little high...for cloth and that ugly green color ;) and NO lockers...I would expect to pay that for a locked/loaded 94/95 with approp. mileage 80.

I have been looking for awhile now, and I have seen very few under 100k miles. My wife actually prefers the cloth, I slightly prefer the leather, but cloth will be cheaper in the long run. A nationwide search on autotrader and cars.com show nothing under 100k miles for less than 13k. If I knew of a locked 80 for around 11k with less than 120k miles, I would go for it!!!

I found my '95 with 40k on the clock 1.5 years ago. No lockers (but that is being remedied as we speak with locking axles). I paid $13k.
Bought it out of town, but at that time I got a one-way plane ticket and drove it home for less than $250. I think you would be good either going with lexusBen's, or looking in areas of the country that don't have salt or mountains. That way they are in good shape(no rust), and no demand locally(no need for 4-wheel). My original purchase was supposed to be a '94 with lockers and 32k on the clock for $14.5k. I missed having $$$ by about 2 hours. Oh well.

BTW--Don' buy the green! everyone has a green one! get a nice dark blue or the light grey, those are sweet!

I agree: $11k seems high for cloth interior, no lockers. In 2004, I paid $13k for a 1996 with 90k miles, leather, lockers. Plus it was black, and I was jonesin' for a black Cruiser.

Can you spend 3-4 weeks looking for a Cruiser, or do you need to buy something now?

I can spend a little more time...will probably have to rent a car for a couple of weeks. Not a huge deal, I used to travel for business all the time and I can get pretty good deals on rentals. Would not want to do that for long. I did contact the guy who was selling his 97 LX with 105k and lockers. He was asking $13k, which is way too high. If he comes down a bit, I would consider it.

His looks very nice, but I would like fewer miles. I must have been out of town, she is still out there. I do park in the garage once in awhile since I took the roof rack off. :)

Where do you guys find these awesome deals? I always find the 212k piece of junk for $16k. I look at craigslist, autotrader, here, mud, cars.com, etc...

I went here in 5 min after I read your post.

Oklahoma City, OK. '93, 128k, lockers (from picture) $6995?!?!

GO GET IT!

One way to OKC is $235. Gas home would be around $120. (OKC to denver is about 520 miles.) so for $7500 you got a clean, locked 80.

I did not see that one, I only chose 95-97...with the little one, I like the airbags. But damn, $7k??

Good thing is...with a 93/94, your little one can actually ride up front :D

No lockers, but you and Romer could swap pink panty stories!

My 14 mo old :Princess: rides in the center rear (not 3rd row) and loves it. 'specially when I open the s-roof. Something she likes about wind in her face.

One downfall to no SRS airbags is no deduction on insurance.

I agree. I've been talking to Oleg about getting a switch installed to turn off the front passenger side airbag. My son loves to ride up front with me when he gets to run errands with me by himself (no sister). I move the front seat all the way back and lean it back some more when he does this, but my wife still frowns at me.

New cars have weight sensors: airbag only engages when there is ~70+ lbs. on the seat.
