You guys are taking too long to post pics. I've already washed the 40, eaten dinner, and have started to go through the photos and video from today.

Awesome time!

Here's 5 pics to start it off...

I'll probably edit/label these later...

What was the total count? We had a lot more 40s than I would have guessed.

I had a wonderful time today. Thanks, Martin, for another great 40s run! My appreciation to Rick, Mitch, and Justin and anyone else I forgot, for their help with my little vapor lock problem at the top. Man what a beautiful place to sit for a while.

seems I need to dust off the ole 64 more than once a year. Thanks for putting together another good 40's run!

Thanks to everyone who attended. It was a lot of fun having all the old 40's out. We had a pretty nice day and it was great to finally get to the top of Argentine pass with no thunderstorms, and even better to see 20 40's parked up there. :thumb:

Absolutely stellar run today. Keith (buddy in from out of town) and I had an absolute ball. The weather couldn't have been better either, and the company was wonderful.

I haven't refueled the 40, but would you guys hate me if I told you that it's BARELY under "F"? What if I told you that after dinner I drove Dad to DIA and back up to Idaho Springs? I'll probably refuel it in the morning, just to see what the days' fun consumed, for grins and giggles.

That completes the best of my photos (and some you you have already posted WAY better ones), but now I'm sifting through the stuff that the GoPro captured...

Thank you everyone that let me ride shotgun today; I had "peak fun". It was nice to see all the 40's and it got me motivated to get mine running again.

P.S. - I washed my hair twice and I still can't get rid of that diesel smell. ;)

Rick and Jennifer had a very good time and I'm glad my 40 was able to make the run. Martin, thanks for putting this together each year. While the Rising Sun Club is inclusive of all the 4x4 rigs; it is really special to see the 40 series all together. Jennifer snapped a bunch of photos and here are a few.

There were so many nice lookin' blue 40's on the trip it was hard to tell which one was yours Ricardo. theboomboom took good care of it though.

It was nice to make it all the way to the top for once - the views up there are stunning. We think we counted 50+ people on the Gray's and Torrey's hike across the valley baggin' their 14'ers for this summer.

The trail was extremely clean and their was little to no trash in the campsites along the way. We've done a good job with our work days.

Thanks Martin for another great 40's run.

On the way out the last two trucks happened upon a TV set that had been shot/smashed/burned that took a while to clean up, but that's about it. We should have snapped some photos of the mess that all the broken glass made.

Dad is already planning to drive the 40 back up from NM next year for it. You DEFINITELY should have come Matt.

I did not have many really good photos, so here is what I thought were my best ones. We had a good time and enjoyed Argentine and running over Guanella to 285 and then back home.

Thanks! :D :thumb:

Finally got the video uploaded.... I've never tried uploading a HD video to youtube before, but even at the reduced quality I'm seeing on my end it came out pretty well.

Awesome, Dan! Great video, thanks for taking the time to build that. The high speed sections are really cool, almost makes driving in a 40 look smooth.

Cool video Dan. That is the name of the band in the video?

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The band for all three songs in the video is Brave Saint Saturn. They rock. They are a mostly Denver band, and an offshoot of the greatest band that ever existed: Five Iron Frenzy. FiF broke up in 2003, and Brave Saint Saturn hasn't released an album for a few years, but they don't leave my ipod.
