I need to verify but this appears to be a three speed case mated with a four speed transmission. The three speed gears are lower with a 2.31 ratio vs 1.96 in a four speed transfer case.

The engine block and the heads are F-Engine. The hood is a '72+ one piece hood. The sheet metal you see is a replacement floor panel from Canada Cruisers.

I have some '79 style ones already off, I have some '72 style ones you can cut off, and I have a hood from '64 you can pilfer.

Mike, I'd be interested in a set of front fenders if you have a decent set in that pile.

the 64 and 72 are probably the same? I don't want to butcher a usable hood.

Decent is a stretch but they can be fixed up. Typical rust under the light and above the fender brace.

That would be the hood off the convertible. Not many usable parts left on that rig.

how heavy are those flywheels? I need to make some stands for some equipment and could use 3 or so.

I would also take some steel wheels if you have those. rust/dents are no issue.

Semi truck Drums might work well. I worked in a garage in my undergrad and they had grinders and stuff set up on them. They are super heavy.

Howdy Amigo..

I am looking for a few smallish parts..

I need the bracketry that holds the carb fan to the fender, and a heater resistor if you have one that works.

I'd also be interested in a left fender if you have one that is from a late model 40... I am looking for one that has all the bolt holes in it for the emissions stuff and other doodads for my 82.. Mine are aftermarket and are missing the holes, so it'd be nice to have something proper to pattern off of or just use.

Marco I might have a 80 fender from the 40 that Zepp and I rescued...I will check my stash this weekend

The black painted ones are the fenders from my 12/'78. Those are the newest ones in the pile.

I have the 1978 2F engine that is in my 40. I am replacing it because it is very tired. Good builder though and you can come over and drive it before you buy it.

I have two from my Fj60 axle.

How much do you want for the engine?

It is very tired but a great start to a rebuild. Probably $250 but I would like you to drive it prior to the swap. Looking at a time frame sometime in Nov after Pismo.

Mike, do you have a 4 speed shifter knob with the shift pattern on it?

I don't.

treerootCO
10-15-2011, 09:08 AM
ok, here are my thoughts. I am going to load up the trailer and head over to Dan's sometime later today. If you are interested in parts and live within 50 miles from Denver, post up or PM, and I'll drive the trailer by. If I missed replying to any posts, let me know. Maxsdad, I was unable to locate any tail/turn lights or a windshield knob. Schlegs, I thought I had an extra harness but I didn't.

Any offers accepted. Justin, if you want the entire lot, I can deliver today.

I can't swing by til the weekend tho, are you carting it all off soon? is stopping by this weekend not an option?

I'll check if any of the fans have brackets. Not sure if they have them or not...

Rear drum break components for a 1975.

Thanks, Brian

Carb jets - none
bumper - the convertible has one that is a stock '64 variety
intake - The dual runner intake went to Wes. I have an '81 and a '78 one but no heat shields.
brakes - I have lots of rear brake parts that are correct for '75

Mike, do you have any of these?
-early 2F aircleaner (specifically need the HAI flapper)?
-emissions components like BVSV, VTV, VSV?
-hazard switch for '74-'77?
-rear wiring harness for '75-'78 or so? Or scraps of wiring harness that's in your way?
-windshield wiper arms for '77?
-FJ60 rebuildable drag link end?
-HAI shield/hose/clamps (think I saw those here:
http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/attachment.php?attachmentid=25263&d=1317043527

and here - can I pull parts off the engine?
http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/attachment.php?attachmentid=25269&d=1317043617

wish I could take more off your hands, but I don't have any room, and no real need for what I'd like to get, except that maybe someday I could use it... :(

Glad I could help keep a few more rigs on the road and that my Cruiser karma has been redeemed as much as possible. It is really hard to see it go but I had to do it eventually. All remaining parts have been sold to the metal recycling yard.
