Anybody know how/where a factory alarm is tied into an FJ80? I think that it is a Clifford but it doesn't work & I think that it maybe draining my battery. I'd like to disconnect it but I can only find the horn.

More than likely in the driver's side kick panel- pull up the trip piece at the door opening, then pull off that kick panel, then get your head down there and stare for while... if you see something with non-OEM looking zip ties, that's it?

IIRC there is one screw/bolt that attaches the kick panel to the firewall area that isn't overly obvious - If you just pull on the kick panel you'll break off the little tab where the screw is...damhik
Otherwise, I'm with Nakman. "Factory" alarms are under the driver's side seat but most threads I've read about aftermarket alarms had the control unit located behind the driver's side kit panel or tucked up behind the steering wheel area. Not really sure though what all they tie into wiring wise

Might also have your battery tested. Often alarm systems start to act up when a battery is nearing the end of its life.

Best to go to the unit and trace back the wires no matter where they go. That is the best way to find out where it all attaches. Good luck
