Truck sold, page turned.
Thanks for the encouragement. Make sure you are maximally insured or adequately cash liquid to cope with the WTF moments like this.

Price Adjusted for Holidays.
It is a bad time for this, just making more peace on pricing.

New Price, taking some of the heart out of the number.
01-13-2012, 09:22 PM
New price, getting closer to what feels workable.
It's the rig you want for a few people to hit the trails.

Last Monday a meth head crashed his Cadillac into/onto the rig, locked the car and left the scene. A week later we have confirmed he is a meth head and cannot find the SOB, so the rig is getting parted as it got buggered.

Did the winch survive? I would be very interested in the winch for the right price. Might be interested in the bumper as well.
Sorry to hear about the accident.
How did the axles fair?
01-23-2012, 09:44 PM
Also would be interested in interior stuff for my brothers truck. Especially the floor mats and dash.

Rear axle fine, front axle we are waiting to pull, picks are not loading here but are on Facebook and Pirate.
Right price? I will scratch my head, thinking I am heading south this weekend to start stripping. I will deliver if you've got bucks. Complete XP with longer leads to go underhood and 3/8" Amsteel.
Really a nut punch but working on it.

Well, not trying to hose ya, just not sure what you are looking for. If it is something that works for both of us, good. If not no worries at all.

Did they find the guy and did he have any insurance? I doubt he could afford a meth habbit and insurance. Sorry about your loss. Too bad I don't have a 2nd gen runner anymore or I could buy some stuff.
01-24-2012, 09:27 AM
Sorry to hear about that Adrian.

Right in the ball bag, hard insurance lesson learned and misunderstood. Also learning I am not real pleased or trusting of my new insurer.
Thanks gents, more sale info to follow.
God Bless the uninsured meth head, moving forward as we have confirmed expired insurance and expect him to abandon the car at the yard.

That really sucks Adrian..
Hopefully you can recoup some of the investment by parting it out.
01-25-2012, 12:14 AM
Damn, thats sucks man. I'm sorry.

Working on getting a 3.slow runner with a bad motor. How is all the trans/engine stuff for pulling and being able to drop in the runner I'm probably getting. Its an auto also.

Dang, Adrian. Not the way you wanted to part company with your baby for sure.
+1 on insurance lessons. Just FYI for the audience, it is worth it to find a company who will do named value instead of just depreciated OEM plus depreciated parts and no labor. You barely end up with your shirt in that scenario. Traveller's is the one I use and am happy with them.

Sorry I just saw this, yes I took it in the shorts.
In particular, the new company stated policies different than the old, so I brought out my old card and said I was looking for comparable coverage. She apparently got hung up on the low mile stuff and I was not appropriately diligent, a 5k lesson.
To the best of my knowledge, he has not gotten busted again, so I hope he is turning his life around and preparing to pay me...
