So I'm the new guy to the forum and probably to the club soon. Just saying hi. I'm a died in the wool Toyota guy, I've had a '78 FJ40 since 1999 and my daily driver is a 1990 Hilux that's locked at both ends, still IFS and staying that way, very mild lift and 33x10.50s that's surprisingly capable. My 40 is still running a 2F and four speed, 5.29s and Detroits at both ends, spring under with 38.5 SXs and tons of rust. I recently moved to Firestone from Laramie, WY where somebody would leave a Rising Sun business card on my 40 every couple of months. That's how I found out about you guys and I've lurked here long enough to see you're largely a great bunch of people. Hopefully I can add to that.

And that's me in a nutshell.

Need dual cases for your 1990 Hilux?

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not ready for dual cases yet but I'm still interested in the IFS third we talked about over at yotatech. Did you ever find the carrier and check the bearings?

Welcome. Firestone will probably feel like the tropics compared to Laramie.

I've been a Primus fan since the early '90s when I was just a wee lad. I had no idea what they were singing about back then and I've never done any drugs so I can't say that I understand them even today but I love that beautiful noise.

It was just Tuesday of last week my buddy back in Laramie told me I was missing out on some really righteous weather back there. My response was, and I quote, "Firestone is tropical compared to the -30 you're enjoying." It's just the beginning of the cold there, too. I did my time there, more than half my life. I have very few regrets leaving.

Welcome! Kenny (the original Oriental redneck) also lives in Firestone...

We've got another '78 FJ40 SUA on 37s in the club, so you're in good company :thumb:

Love that I'm not the only non-pc guy here. Good for you Matt!

I haven't had a chance to check yet. Sorry. I'll get back to you later in the week on the diff Tommy. I have a super busy first half, but I should be able to check it out soon.

I get bombarded daily by EEO and sensitivity crap at work. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it around the forums too. Can't say as I've ever met an oriental redneck. But if he's into yotas he's bound to be my kinda cat.

Isaac, no hurry on the diff. I've got plenty of time, just wanted to let you know I'm still interested.
