I may have some machining to do on a diesel engine I've picked up: magnaflux the block, hone the cylinders, flatten the block deck, re-work the head, etc.

Is there a machine shop in the greater Denver area that you'd recommend for this type of work?!

Cheers -

Gunn Automotive on Federal a couple of blocks north of Alameida has done great work for a lot of us 40 owners. He is solely an engine machine shop, not a mechanic, but he has been in business a long time, and does great work for a good price.

I'm a drag racer as well and I use GAM in Greeley exclusively. I was referred to them by Mark Jones who is regarded as one of the greatest engine builders of our time.

I would second Gunn from experience. They've machined a couple of engines for me and my friends and I was always happy.

Tommy's endorsement is a good one though. :thumb:
