I have a set of (4) 16x7 aluminum wheels (and tires) For Sale. They have 3.75" of backspacing and have 235-85-16's on them. The tires are BFG AT's and they are old and dry. The wheels are in nice shape and fit on my '80 Hilux fine. Probably would fit a drum brake 40 fine. They did not fit on my FJ60 and grazed the calipers.

$100

What kind of life is on the tires? Might be interested in them.

There's a lot of tread on the tires, but they are old and the sidewalls are dry.

Still available. I just checked and these are 16x7 with 3.75 backspacing.

Bumping these one more time. If no interest then I'm taking them to the recycler. I'm guessing the aluminum will be worth something.

Rims on my 80 series are supposedly 4.5" BS with zero offset. So the BS of the rims you are selling would put the tires in more or out more?

I'm interested, just have questions first.

I'm not sure about the offset, but with less backspacing the wheel would be further out. You're welcome to come up and try one on to see if they will work. Unfortunately I don't have an 80 handy to test fit.

Edit: Another thought: I can bring them down to the February meeting and you can test fit one in the parking lot at Stevinson's. I'll even throw my floor jack in the truck. Let me know.

I'm in Colorado Springs so that's quite a trip for a test fit. I think in my mind I would like to have decided to buy them or not even before test fitting. I'll do a little more research; surely there is someone else who has put 3.75 BS rims on an 80; at least to see if they would work.

How much were you asking for them? I think it was $100.

Well, looks like these will be perfect for me. I saw to price drops from the $100 original price. How much is that?

I'll take them.

Original price was $150. I dropped the price twice, $125, then down to $100.

I believe Loudbay is coming to get them on Sunday. I'll post up and let you know next week if they're gone or not. Thanks!

I laughed when I saw the ad as well. I was about to give up on 16s and they were here all along!

If Martin successfully sells his rims and those in line still want some, I have 4 16" rims sitting in my shed. I think they are 16x8 but I'd have to check and get pictures...They came off a Tacoma as I recall.

Squishy!

Pics? I'm looking into some easily swappable sets for my 88

I also have a set of (5) 15" steel rims from an early Hilux I might sell. I bought them from Yota Jim for my '80 Hilux but have decided to keep my FJ60 rims on it instead. The 15's are all straight (had them checked at my local tire shop) and I wire wheeled the crust off them and they are ready for paint or powdercoat.

Those tires were pretty dry. I wouldn't have used them for any distance, but fine for a rolling project or occasional air-care-dyno-duty.
