Hey Colorado friends. I'm trying to help my Dad out finding a good shop to get some work done on his Lexus. He has a 97 SC400 that needs some work and the dealership just quoted him more than he can afford right now. Looks like his rear brake system needs replacing (rotors, calipers, pads...), motor mounts, and starter.
His SC has over 250k on the clock but he doesn't want to get rid of it- ever. So, if you know of a place that can take good care of him and fix his Lexus, I would be forever in debt.
Dad lives in Frisco but the SC is in Denver at a Lexus dealership. I'm not sure of which one.
Thank you in advance for you help and Merry Christmas!
Also, if he doesn't get it fixed, he'll be in the market for a 4X4 4Runner. Looking at 4th Gen V8 Limited if possible. Please let me know if you have any leads...
Thanks!:thumb:

I can do it on the side. I have worked for Toyota for several years. And now work at PepBoys. I also drive a LS400 (same motor & drivetrain) If he dosent want it done on the side swing it by my work and request that "Tim" work on it.

I'm sure it would be cheaper to get it done in Denver, but in Frisco high country automotive 970-668-8288 does good work. I taught snowboarding with one of the owners years ago.

Tim (above) would be a good choice :thumb:

If your dad can't connect with him time wise then a couple other options would be:

Robbie (http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/showthread.php?t=10843) - If he is available

Jesse over at ATLR (http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/showthread.php?t=8747)

It might come down to where the Lexus is now. Tim is either southeast or southwest depending on where the work is done. Robbie is up near Boulder. Jesse is on the west side. Any of them would do quality work for less than a dealership.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure that he'd rather not take it back up the hill since he's in Denver with it right now. I'll keep it in mind if he makes it back up. Thanks!:thumb:

Perfect! I just found out that he's near Golden so ATLR might be the choice. I'll be flying out there tomorrow to give him a hand so he's not wandering around solo trying to figure it all out.

I appreciate all the help! I plan on joining up with you guys if I ever make it back to CO. I've been keeping a close eye on the job market out there and it seems things are getting better. We'll keep in touch!
