View Full Version : Anybody know who bought that orange cruiser

About 3 years or so there was a really nice 40 for sale at a car lot located at holly and leetsdale in Denver. I went in and asked about it, they picked it up from an estate sale. The owner was a retired railroad guy from BNSF. He apparently loved the orange that his locomotives are painted. It even had BNSF logos on it. Just wondering if anybody on here picked it up and how nice of a rig did it end up being to be?

no clue who bought it. it used to sit behind a privacy fence off hampden just west of santa fe for decades. it was at the rally this year. i don't recall ever having seen it at any rallys, including the ones mark used to do decades ago.
Is this the one? I got photos of it at the 2011 Rally and talked with the guy. I don't remember his name. :( He's the one inside the FJ40 with the hard hat.

Wow that looks like the one I saw at the lot. Crazy paint but looks pretty good. Thanks for the pics. Don't know what made me think about that rig but it just popped into my head the other night. Thanks
That truck has D&RGW colors on it. I like it--a lot. That RGI color scheme looks like it was made for a cruiser. I kind of wish I would have thought of it first.

X2 I think it's pretty original, wish I had the cash to get it when I saw it for sale. And my bad rio grande rr, not BNSF. My dad would have got on my back, (being a union pacific guy.)
