The rules are: Be the FIRST person to correctly identify the place the photo.
You then have 24 hours to post a new photo for the rest of us to guess. Photo's must be Toyota worthy. Failure to post a photo within 24 hours and the next in line gets to post.

I guess it depends on how you figure the trails are named vs numbered.

The pic you posted is on FS317, which the way I read the map, is schofield.

Schofield (FS 317) goes to crystal. Then, the road is FS314 at crystal. FS315 is lead king. People think lead king is a loop and it is not. It can be done in a loop as can many trails. I guess it depends on if you follow books like massey which call it a loop and add the other FS road or follow the FS number designation. either way the pic is before the turn to lead king so it's still schofield :D

wesintl
01-07-2012, 05:54 PM
It looks like the latest mvum changed the length of FS314 slightly. It looks like it goes further up. 314 people call marble road and it looks like it extends up past the town of crystal now. Lead King is 315. I don't consider it a loop, I guess some people do.

Even Trail Damage doesn't consider it a loop

Well, I don't have any Colorado maps here in Arizona now so I am doing this from memory, but you are technically correct that FS317, which is part of Devil's Punchbowl, does go to Crystal and is part of the Schofield area. It leads to the Lead King Basin area. :thumb:

So I make a motion to change the game a bit: since we have some folks who are maybe undecided about coming to Moab (and since Moab is coming up soon), let's show them some pics of some cool things they'll get to see/drive while there. It may help them make up their mind to come, and may help them choose trails they want to try :thumb:

I'll start:
