I have a 94 FZJ with disc brakes all around. I was going to rebuild mine but my schedule has changed and I need to have a second set so that I can rebuild the extra set and then just swap them onto the vehicle.

If you have one or all calipers give me a call with your price.

NAPA wasn't terribly priced when I did mine

Okay, phone was crushed. If you left a message then it may take me a few days to get back to you.

I'm assuming you mean that NAPA sells "rebuilt" used calipers? I have already purchased the caliper rebuild kits. If someone were interested in buying those then I might just go to NAPA for some "rebuilt" calipers.

I just rebuilt my front calipers, it only took me a day. You probably wouldn't need to get a spare set if you could set aside enough time. Just trying to help.

Edit: Oops just reread the first post...

Help is always welcome. I'd probably get a quarter of the stuff done that you did in the same amount of time. I work slow. Mostly because some of this stuff is new to me and I don't want to muck it up. I only get about an hour here and there to work on it. It takes me 20 minutes at least just to get the vehicle raised up on the side I am working on. It's be easier on me if I could rebuild it off the vehicle in 1 hour increments and then take an hour to just switch the caliper.

NAPA does sell rebuild used calipers, looks like anywhere from $60 to $120 depending on which ones you choose.

I have had good luck with their rebuilt calipers.

Otherwise you could check one of the toyota junk yards, or regular junkyards for some calipers perhaps..

If yours are still in rebuildable shape, I could probably trade you for mine.

I have a set that I got to build my FJ80 front axle that are sitting in my garage, and I probably won't need them for a few weeks or so. They aren't rebuilt, but they aren't attached to a vehicle either. I'm fine with giving you mine and getting what is on your vehicle currently once you are done. I don't have any rear ones, so you will have to figure that out on your own.

Let me know if you want to work something out. PM is probably the best way to contact me. Oh, and if you catch this soon enough I'm coming through CO Springs tomorrow midday too so we can meet up.

Well it's mid day and I am just getting checking this. oops.

That's awesome that you'd trade me. Thanks! I think I'll keep this possibility in my back pocket for a few days though in hopes that a. I could find all 4 at a junkyard (haven't had much luck finding 80 parts in the springs at the junk yards) or b. I could find all 4 from inquieries I've already set in motion.

Plus, I couldn't promise to get them back to you in a couple weeks. It'd be much more than that.

I understand, just thought I would offer. Hope it works out for you with the others. Maybe a call to Yota Jim's is in order? Sounds like you have a few things cooking too, so that should work out for you.

Yota Jims?

contact info?

I'll be in Denver tomorrow to pick up some other parts. The person I'm picking up the parts from may have some calipers but, just in case, while I'm up there, it might be a good idea to take Yota Jims info with me, on the off chance they'd be open on Sunday.. yeah right.

Yota specialist used parts dealer. I bet he has some brake stuff for FZJ's there, though its mostly earlier model stuff. He gets the 80 series stuff in on occasion though, so there is a chance. I'd call first to see if they have it though.
