Just got this bolted up last night. It's the rack I have wanted to make for a long time now; 3/4 length, all flat, and bolts up to 60's, 80's, and of course, 100's. Stops just at the back edge of the sunroof, and just high enough to still allow it to tip open.

Pretty happy with it, hope you like it. :D

Nice, it looks natural up there. Also, since it is far from the front of the rig, I bet it doesn't need a wind deflector huh?

Ah, so you're the one driving through that mud bog off of Hwy 36...:D

thanks, guys... Romer let's talk if you're serious. Not sure on wind yet, leaving the fairing off for now to see how it goes, but will be heading to Denver at lunch to buy more steel tubing.. can report back. FWIW the 1/4 rack I just took off had some pretty good wind noise, I think its cross bar must have been right in the line of turbulence or something, hopeful this one is between the nodes a little more otherwise I'll have to toss the fairing back on, stay tuned...

Yeah Matt that's my photo shoot area.. I try not to drive there very much because I don't want to draw attention to it, for now there are no signs that say keep out, so hoping it stays that way. Kind of a fun way to get to work though, epescially when I ride my bike to work I go that way for sure. :)

Let me know how the wind noise is. Suppose I could just transfer the fairing.

Wind noise was there for sure. Not quite as much as the Expo rack with the basket up, but enough that I'll probably put my fairing back on. If I had louder tires it would be less of a deal, it's probably on the low end of the spectrum as far as roof racks go.

How about the expo rack with the basket down? Same noise as the 3/4 rack?
