I've arrived in the land of sheep and right hand drive disel Land Cruisers. Sorry no pictures yet. I'll post up when I snap a few. I'm a little sore from all the rubber necking. I think I need a new toy. :p:

28 hours travel door to door.

I got to travel there during college, we had an Easter rugby tour there..

The water swirls opposite when you flush and the clouds go the other way across the sky! It was such beautiful country.. The farther I get from that trip the more I realize how fortunate I was to get to go..

Hope you find a 70 series while you are there!!

We looked at this one. And decided to pass. Wife took it and had a local shop do an inspection for just over $100. compression was good but there were other issues. I learned you want a truck from a Beef farm and not a Milk farm. Wife is there for another 3 weeks and we are still on the look out.

I was there for 6 days. It was my father-in-law's 70th birthday. I hiked in the rain on Mt Taranaki and collected Pauwa (abalone) and hung out with my wife's funny talking family.
I know they speak english.....

I understand the words they are saying maybe 50% of the time.

I understand what they mean maybe 10% of the time.

Then they got drunk and slurred.

:lmao:

I love NZ. My brother lived in Christchurch for awhile and I got to spend some time there working on a project for Fonterra. Would love to go back and take the family sometime.

To paraphrase an old saying.

New Zealand and America, two countries separated by a common language.

Post up some pictures of Taranaki or any other exploration (not your drunk in-laws though).

Sounds like great fun.
