The body is not so good (old (po) bondo, modified fenders & wells, rust). Has been a 100% trail truck for years (9+). The drive train- axles, transfer case, transmission, engine are solid.

This truck has always been maintained after trips. Wheel bearings, brakes, oil, tranny fluid, diffs checked etc. The truck starts right up, idles well and was always reliable on the trail.

Building up the LX now- it fits the family better.

Wow, Richard! When you make a decision, you act on it quickly!

Richard and Carrie are friends from Windy City who moved to Colorado recently. Their first run with RS was the Ghost Town run. They had the nice Lexus LX470 with the Slee rear bumper.

Our fantasy of pulling the FJ40 with the LX470 was safely put to bed during the ride home on 6-7% grades...

Updated the link to include these. The top is in very good condition. The passengers drip rail is a little bent from one off-roading trip but no leaks.

Richard and I keep going back and forth as to sell or not to sell. We decided that to sell on Ebay is a risk in itself becuase the truck is so specialized. I don't want someone taking it out on the trail and saying "you sold us a lemon" when they break something. I would feel better that somone who wants it can "touch and feel" the thing before plunking down cash and not drag us through the ebay dispute and resolution ringer.

Ended up with over 2500 hits on the site and 11 watchers when we cancelled though!

SO.......

STILL FOR SALE! $3500

Probably gonna do that. We just sold the top and doors so we are getting lighter by the week. Have an offer on the winch but not sure if we should just save it for "later".

Guy named Chris out of Oklahoma. He's driving up the end of the week to trailer it back. Not too sure if he is a Cruiser Head- when he called he said "Jeep". Ugh!

Spread the word- we took the winch off so it is for sale and the trailer as well. Both are posted on Mud. Needing to buy an enclosed trailer for Richard's race bike. :)
