Thought I would gauge interest in a 60 series, family oriented run on Sunday, 29 July. Thinking maybe Barbour's Fork, so we can picnic in the big meadow and the kids and dogs can run around, but open to ideas.

If you're ok with it......I'd like to be a standby/add-on/guest. We'd be in the 100 so we don't fully qualify. We'll stay out of the pictures and picnic on the "other" side of the tracks.

We'll qualify for the family part and have a sweet dog too!

Boy I sure miss getting out this summer. But alas I will be at the Philmont Training Center in Cimarron,NM for a Photography class starting that day. Darn.

Hopefully you don't have the near 100* heat we had last month during our visit. Glad I was staying up at Angel Fire rather than down at Philmont with my in-laws.

Looks like we have two 60s and a 100, a few young 'uns and at least two dogs. Any other takers for Barbour's Fork this Sunday?

Well, Buelah isn't going to make this run. So I guess I'll be there in Ripper. I guess a 40 is OK, since that will mean we'll have a 40, a 60, an 80, and a 100. For a total of 280, which is divisible by 60, with a remainder of 40 (which is me in Ripper!)

Or we could just change the name of the run to "The evolution of the Land Cruiser from birth through perfection (that would be the 60 series!) and beyond into the great unknown (that would be the 80s and 100s?)" OK, maybe that is a bit of a mouthful!

So can I still come if i'm driving a 40? Since I do at least own a 60, and love her?

I may be a game day scratch. I'm sorry. Working tonight and I may have to give up my leave and be here tomorrow too. Still trying.....

Buelah=60=Perfection...and Buelah won't be in attendance why? ;)

Looks like the first 60s run is down to 1 60 and 1 40. Please PM me if you plan on joining, otherwise, I'll just coordinate with Nattybumpo.

I talked the :Princess: into going on this one. We are bringing Jaeden (6 year old :Princess:) and Cooper (5 month old :pirate:). It will be Cooper's first run, so he's pretty excited!

And, of course, we'll be in the 80. :hill:

Hey Dan,
That's great news, Madeline now has a friend to hang with. Nattybumpo is probably just going to meet me at my house in Denver, so howz' bout we meet you at the gas station on the left in Idaho Springs, right off the first exit, 241a is what the map says. I believe it's a Conoco there when you get off 70 heading west, 9:30am?

I'll PM you my phone number.

I haven't shown you the LL Cool J video yet, have I? Need to, it will make you laugh.
You do know how easy it is to cap of the heater connections, don't you? A real 60 guy would take the five minutes to do that for a 60 run. ;)

Not as easy as all that, like it is in the 40. There are two hoses that have to be spliced into one return to fully by-pass the heater cores, and with old rubber hoses that don't like to be messed with that much, a more-than-full-time job, and two kids that need my attention, and boiling hot ambient temperatures in my garage, things are not as simple as they may seem from a man of leisure's perspective! ;)

Or maybe I'm not a real 60 guy!

You are a real 60 guy plus being a real 62 guy. Maybe you could borrow Dino? :lmao:
