Finally found time this weekend to also install my new BIOR rear bumper.

I went with Bump it Off-Road (BIOR) and really like the quality and price of this bumper. I was able to get all the bells and whistles..

With the built in trailer receiver, I had to cut a space in the cross member for the receiver. Pretty easy, never have used a cutter wheel before.

Also I re-installed the hook, to help protect my tail pipe. Might go to Midas and have them bend the tail pipe up just a touch.

Looks super nice Chris! Did he locate the safety pin for the swingout next to the latch? It's hard to see in the pictures, but I don't see it on the spindle end. If so, that's a much better design then mine (pin and latch are at opposite ends of the swingout).

Thanks you guys, I am really happy with it.

Yep, Matt they are right behind the latch now.

Come on guys - if you're gonna quote it, get it right! It's "ultimate set of tools", and it's Spicoli's dad the television repair man that owns said tools.

Any structural concern with that cut?

Not worried about structural damage. The 80's cut this entire section out for the High Clearance bumpers.

It's being backed up with a nice beefy bumper also.. I cut out the rear cross member in the 60 also and honestly think it is more rigid with the bumper rather than the cross member.

Nice bumper though..

That piece of the frame has been removed entirely on my truck. Without issue.

Hey Chris can I have your stock spare tire cross member and/or pulley? you know, if you're not using it anymore... :)

Yes you can. It is still installed but I see a Mon/Tues night Nakman visit in my future.

Edit..Hey Tim, I think I should keep that brace intact, it protects the body. Also I did promise Melinda that if we did not need the tire carrier, I could remove it, thus needing the spare under neath. Sorry man.
