This is pretty cool. I don't know how fragile it is and it is kinda expensive but still is an interesting solution to the rear brake/clutch issue

Interesting....

Seems like it would take some getting used to - only pull the lever part way in to engage the clutch and shift, or pull it way in to the handle bar to get back brake action. It would suck to be trying to do a quick downshift at the bottom of a steep hill, only to pull in on the lever too far by mistake and completely screw up your momentum.

You should buy one Bruce and let us know how it goes...;)

We should develop an alternative here, something that doesn't cost a grand. Like why not a thumb lever like an ATV throttle? Or maybe a second caliper on the disk that uses all mountain bike parts, and you cram that second lever in there somehow.

I am still staring at my decompression lever, thinking that's clearly the solution, though I get what you're saying Bruce about it being weak and likely not up to the task of hydraulic braking. Still, just seems too easy
