View Full Version : Dropping a Tranny and Replacing a Clutch, If Anyone is Interested

I thought I would throw this out there, in case anyone is interested. Richardo and I are going to be pulling the tranny out of my FJ40 on Saturday to replace the clutch, if anyone is interested in coming by and hanging out and maybe learning a thing or two.

I hope to at least:

- Drop the Transmisison
- Pull the E-Brake and Replace the leaky speedo housing with a new dual-seal housing
- pull the clutch and flywheel to replace the rear main seal on the SBC 350

Depending on the condition of the Flywheel and whether I can get the clutch, we will then replace the clutch and bolt the whole thing back up. If I decide to resurface the flywheel or can't get the new clutch, it may be a shorter day.

Anyway, if you have nothing to do and would like to come by, shoot me a PM. I live in West Littleton, along C-470. We'll probably start early, around 8 or so.
