View Full Version : Redline Accident
09-11-2012, 05:01 PM
I just heard that Justin Robbins from Redline had a bad accident at his shop this morning. The details are sketchy but it sounds like he was working in front of a running vehicle and the vehicle was accidently knocked into gear. It crushed him between the vehicle and the wall of the shop.
Family is with him at the hospital, so far it sounds like he has a broken pelvis, testing is underway to confirm if he has any internal injuries/bleeding.
I'll let you know if I hear any updates.

I just talked to Justin's dad. Looks like no internal injuries or spine damage. So far broken pelvis front and back. Might get to go home tomorrow. It was not my 55 that did.

Unfortunately, it was my truck. They've been working on it since March trying to track down the vibration in the rear, guess it's been a nightmare for them. My understanding is that it wasn't starting so he was messing with the battery cables while one of the other guys was starting it and it jumped into gear and pinned him, something to that effect. Very unfortunate incident. Feels like a Stephen King novel.

Per my update from his dad last night, pretty similar to what Art posted up: Broken pelvis front & back, no internal injuries. They could release him from the hospital today, nothing they can really do to treat the fractures (body cast, etc) so he will be on crutches, bed rest and lots of pain meds for some period of time.

Got a text from him today. He's going home today and will be alright. He likes the morphine though!
Effin' trooper, he wanted me to call him about some things and I had to tell his dad to knock him out or something for at least a few days!

Damn, that is just awful, glad to hear no real permanent damage was done. Good reminder to me to be extra careful working out in the garage.
