I have 4 partial transfer cases from 72-78 40s and 55s. They are all at least partially disassembled but enough parts to put together a couple complete units with tons of parts to spare. One of the cases isn't pictured. $75 for all? Sale pending

Here is a floor shift 3 speed trans from a 72 40 series that I'm told works fine. The bellhousing, splash pans and clutch arm are included. $50? Sale pending

1 good factory birfield and long inner shaft from a 77 40 series. $25? Sold

2 empty diff cases from my 78 40 series. $40 for the pair?

Front and rear diffs from an 87 60 series. Lower mileage, around 140,000 I believe, 3.70 ratio, rust-free, great condition. $150 for the pair? Sold

Front brake backing plates from the 87 60 series including the hard brake lines to the caliper. $50? Sold

4 speed trans from the 87 60 series (H42) without transfer case. Same 140,000ish miles. Great condition, includes shifter, bellhousing, splash shields, clutch fork, throwout bearing. $150?

Tommy, great to meet you and thanks a million for taking the time to teach me how to set up a diff! I can vouch for the cleanness of all the rest of Tom's stuff he's selling here and it was easy to get to his place. Two thumbs up from me and I'm really looking forward to not having a growling rear end any more. :hill:

Howdy,

The diff in my FJ40 growls.

It is the same diff as an FJ60 with the 3.7whatever ratio.

Do you think that the ones you have are hunky dory? I only need one... would it need a new pinion seal maybe?

I'm interested in the birf. My short side birf is super loose. I'll pm you. Thx

It was great meeting you too, Steve and thanks for the kind words. I'm glad this stuff will be used.

I have complete confidence in these diffs but would recommend new pinion seals. I'll make you the same offer as I did Steve, too. Bring the seals with you and we'll change them and check the backlash and set the carrier pre-load.

PM replied to.

Thanks everybody!

Tom,
Installed the diff and it works wonderfully! All quiet now under all conditions and what a difference it makes. Used the axles too as they looked a little better than the originals.
Thanks again for your help.
Steve

I'm really glad they worked out for you. Hopefully you can salvage your third member and have a spare or re-coup your money.

Great stuff to hear!

I'll take those t-cases.

They are ready for you. I'll PM you the details on my schedule.

Yes they will but are spoken for at this point, though not yet picked up. I will let you know if that deal falls through, you are the next in line.

Replies sent. Sorry for the delays, guys. I contracted Bell's Palsy over the weekend which means the right side of my face is on strike. I had some doctors appointments when I got home from work Tuesday night and the wife bought a new car yesterday so I've been busy. I also won't be around a lot this weekend but I'm sure we can work something out to get you your stuff.

Thanks for your patience.

Thank you. It showed up over night and left over night after about 3 weeks. Very strange. I'm almost back to as normal as I get.

I updated the first post and still have a few things left.
