I would make one for free if you have the metal ring. I have the rivets and other stuff

The 73 boot is a pain. It only attaches via a rubber lip to the trans tunnel. A little bit cold and it hardens and as soon as you shift it pops off leaving a nice view of the road below plus the extra wind/noise/dirt. I can't wait to do the 4 speed swap on my '73 and switch to a later shift boot. Want to trade?

why not just convert over to a boot that is available?

That was my first thought too, especially since the 73 boot sucks. :hill: My guess is they are doing a show quality resto, so maybe correct parts only.

Correct, this is a restoration project. We found a '73 with 37,000 ORRIGIONAL miles, the only non-factory parts on it were the roll bar and the exhaust! Thanks to everybody for your suggestions, I'll use a earlier version if I have to. -Derek (Will post pictures when I get a chance)

That is just the inner boot and I know a guy who has plenty in stock for cheaper than eBay :D

Sorry, wish I had an outer boot for you. :(
