Got these LEDS from a guy on Craigslist. Time to install. I wanted to be able to keep them on the bars without the rack so it had to be under the Yakima basket but attached to the mounting bars. The lights have an awesome curved mounting bracket that'll allow it to mounted straight forward.

Oh... you mean to cut it out. Just use a jigsaw and a fine tooth blade. BTDT.

Yeeeaaa. All I have is a wimpy little 12v Ridgid JobMax. It might work though.

Your dad has a stylin' 18V Ryobi jigsaw that will make short work of it.

Or somewhere I have an old school 120v version. Come drop in on yer lonely old man sometime...
:lmao:
Just watch the boost coming up the hill with that underdrive pulley and no aftermarket fueling solution...

Seriously though, that Ridgid Jobmax is a freakin' AWESOME tool. Mine comes in handy 8 ways but Sunday. I can't hear as well after using it though.

By the way, Yakima used to sell an aux. lamp mounting bracket utilizing their snap arounds and a flat plate with light mounting holes. You could fab up a plate to size and just bolt it to the snap arounds, maybe 4 snap arounds. Then light up the scooter boys.

Ya I saw that but it would force me to mount to the basket and I want to be able to remove the basket and still have the lights on the bars.

Ah I see. I think I'm gonna go straight through the bars less moving parts and tighter install
