1996 LX450 w/lockers 197,XXX miles - SOLD

This is my daughter Sarah’s truck, she has had it for six and a half years. She is getting a 100 series to last her the next 7-10 years. I bought this one before she turned 16 as it was such a great deal. She has put 37K miles on it in 6.5 years. She told me to say its magical and it has always taken care of her.

It had 160K miles on the clock when I bought it, but a friend and Toyota master mechanic had just redone the Head Gasket and the valves. The truck was immaculate and in perfect shape. The only problem is it didn’t have lockers. I retrofitted OEM e-lockers in both the front and rear in the following thread. I did the rear locker and Robbie (powderpig did the front)

Here is a list of what it has:
ARB Front Bumper
Front and Rear e-lockers
Slee Tube Sliders
Slee T-case skid plate
Slee 2nd gen (with hoops) rear bumper with Tire Carrier
CB Radio (keeping the HAM)
286/75/16 BFG ATKO’s
Landtank MAF
GT Leather Seat covers on the front
CO2 Tank mounted on seat bracket in the rear
Maintenance is all up date (Robbie did most of the work):
Front axle rebuilt 20K miles ago in 2009 (182K miles)
Rear Axle rebuilt in 2009
Front and Rear Brake pads and rotors replaced in 2009
Brake fluid flushed and bleed in 2009
Fan Clutch with Higher V fluid replaced in 2009
U joints on both front and rear shafts replaced in 2009
Robbie changed the plugs, wires etc in 2009 and did a compression check (compression reading was great 175-180 psi across all 6 cylinders)
Mobil 1 Synthetic changed every May
Power Steering Pump and Hoses replaced in 2008
Optima Red Top Battery
New starter
There is only one problem to highlight I can think of. In 2010, she was going to fast on a highway on ramp and put it on its side. It dented the front fender, door, a small bump in the roof and a small bump in the rear quarter panel. I replaced the Lexus door with a Land Cruiser door and used JB weld to install the molding. This looks pretty close to original. The door works fine but does take a harder than normal pull to close. Not much, but a little. The FOB will not lock the door, you can do that with the door button or the key, but it will set the alarm once locked and will unlock the door. Probably a loose wire, but hasn’t been an issue.

I will get it cleaned up and detailed and post lots of pictures of the exterior and interior in a few days. Here are some quick ones showing the seat covers, the damage on the fender, roof and quarter panel. Also some pictures of it wheeling so you can get a good view of it from all sides.

It's well maintained and needs nothing as far as I know. It's built well for wheeling

Ken,

Don't let it go yet. I have a buddy who will be very interested. He's ready to buy, just been looking for the right one.

Enjoy your Christmas, I'll have him call you on Wednesday. Is it ok if I give him your cell #?

sure. Thanks for the referral

I plan on driving down to get Sarah's 100 later this week and then would like to drop it off at Slee, but selling this will really help with that

Maerry Xmas

Lots of interest yet no takers. Must be the Fiscal Cliff. I'll do my part and drop the price to $9450, but I will keep the highlift

Ken, I sent a link to the thread to a couple of Durango folk. So if you get a call from down this way I'll need my standard commission:lmao:
