Wasabi in Belmar is my favorite. Not plain but run well and always good. Classy, not stuffy if I had to describe it.

433 South Teller St.

X2 to Wasabi but it can be a little pricier

A good alternative is Bara Sushi in the Belleview Promenade. Creative Sushi for great prices.

Sushi den but it's uppity.

Junz in parker is always one of our go to's. good spider rolls etc.

one thing about sushi is to stay away from the low end joints.

Okinawa Japanese Cuisine
2301 East Colfax Avenue
Denver, CO 80206
(303) 322-8886

We ate here a few months back and it was pretty good. Their specials are what set them apart. Not pricy, esp compared to Suhi Den.

Sonoda's Sushi
1620 Market Street, Denver, CO
(303) 595-9500 ‎ sonodassushi.com

We like Sonadas if downtown is busy. They are on the reasonable side as well.

Namiko's Japanese Restaurant
7310 West 52nd Avenue # R, Arvada, CO
Arvada Marketplace
(303) 420-3600 ‎ namikos.com

Namikos is really great, but they can be spendy. Family always does a good job there.

Ooka Asian Cuisine
6485 West 120th Avenue, Broomfield, CO
(303) 438-6666 ‎ denverooka.com

We get delivery sushi from Ooka all the time. They are reasonable, and we eat there for obvious reasons (note the address)

x2 on Sonodas. Don't be dissuaded by its downtown location. Its not stuffy or uppity.

Sushi Hai at 32nd & Lowell is nice too. http://www.sushihai.com/ Neighborhood joint.

Great suggestion by Groucho on Namiko's. Our family has eaten there for years, always fresh and tasty with excellent service!

We had a Sushi Den near our old place, the one on South Pearl. It was way more popular than it should have been, it was OK but definitely ordinary. Our favorite was John Holly's on South Downing. The place we went on the west side was Sushi Uokura, behind the Honda dealer on Colfax.

the shogun and wasabi special are good
plus there's a happy hour till 6 (not all on special but many are)
it can be a little hit and miss depending on who is working, but most the time its good imo

others said namiko's I lived right there and we used to go there a lot. I like that place too

Sushi Den also owns the place across the street, kind of catty corner.. Supposed to be less expensive.

I ate at Japon on Old South Gaylord last night.. Pretty good and the price was really good also...but one of the guys in our group got sick on the Tempura..

I never order that, so I am going back.
