I'm in the process of upgrading to 1 tons & have a pair of axles to sell. Rear is ready to go but I need a couple of weeks before I drop the front. This was a surprisingly easy swap/ upgrade to stronger axle shafts & disc brakes up front. Rear axle is drum and I have a Lock-Rite Locker that I'll throw in if you're interested. Asking $800 but I'm open to offers. 72o-987-42o2

How did you mount the front 1 ton axle to the leaf springs on the passenger side? If you left the stock integrated spring mounting pad unchanged it usually keeps your pinion pointed down and puts a nasty angle on your front drive shaft and U joints. If you used wedge shims to get the pinion up, you may have an issue with the u bolts continously loosening up, losing shims, axles rotating, etc.
The best solution is to get the spring pad machined with the proper angle on it, then use a matching angled plate for the top hold down. I have this setup on the Meanie and it has never moved or loosened up.

Honestly I haven't done anything yet. The plan is a 3 link up front & 4 link in the rear. In addition, a 350 TBI or Vortec, 700r4 or 4L60E with an atlas.

OK, if you link it up front you should be OK :thumb:

Nobody is interested in converting over to disc brakes???

no offense, but not at that price unless your axles are seriously built. disc brake stuff sells for $100-$350, and the rear really isn't worth more than about $150, a little more if it's fine spline pinion

I did say I was open to offers, however, $350 is an incredible deal from what I've seen over the past couple of years on both CL & Mud.

Lock-Rite Locker now included in sale. Again, I'm open to offers & will do a package deal on the axles, locker, and Alcan Springs I have listed.
Original Alcan Springs Thread from the guy that I purchased them from: http://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/525472-4-alcan-lift-co.html. I ordered new Alcan bushings, hence, the $50 price increase from the original listing.
