View Full Version : Iron Pig Population

This is purely curiosity, but I'm wondering how many Iron Pigs, or members who own them, are roughly associated with Rising Sun/ or are in the Denver/ Metro Area?

I know the guys out at Redline did War Pig and Iron moose, which were pretty high on the bad ass level, and there were a few at the annual rally this past summer, but other than that, I don't really see them around. :(

I know there's a red one that I see occasionally in downtown Castle Rock, as well as some really nice 40's :lmao:

I guess I've always had an attraction to the 55's, but I know I would mutilate one and make it blow some black smoke if I could find the right set up.

I love em too, but they seem to be the ones in worst condition on the black market...

Yeah no kidding, the ones I come across for sale are usually pretty rough - actually really rough.

Unfortunately, it just seems like the owners store them outside or in less-than-ideal locations for rust formation and other decomposition.

Toyota designed them so they would rust fast

Off the top of my head I can think of 6 besides Justin's/Redlines that are nearby and associated with the club - one of them has a Cummins 4BT in it...they're just kinda rare animals...

I miss this one sometimes.

Still living up in Breck. Currently in "winter hibernation mode". I learned that the rear locker and mud tires make for scary driving in snow and ice.

Well that's five of my six accounted for...

One in the garage, my daily driver, and a spare outside behind the fence over here in Grand Junction, my fifth 55 in less than five years. Body on my restomod came from a well-known Cruiser aftermarket supplier who'd just crushed another. His explanation...55 owners are all cheap sobs unwilling to pay much for vehicles and parts. There are six or seven over here that I know of.

It's great to see so much response within the thread!

I appreciate everyone's contributions so far.

Now I'm fairly interested in hearing about the piggy with the 4BT in it; could I get details on that, or an owner's info?
