I know a lot of you don't like this brand, but quite a few of us have had great results with them. They currently have another sale going on...

Here's the full offering. I think mine is the 80, so that 63 is a pretty sweet size for long trips. The 80 is perfect for family of 4 and costco runs. In fact, I would be open to selling mine and getting a 63 since it's typically just me using it.

The problem with those is the wiring for the cigarette lighter. Replace the cable with something better (closer to hard wired) and you shouldn't have any problems. You can get the 43qt from Amazon for $400. http://www.amazon.com/43-Portable-Compact-Refrigerator-Freezer/dp/B0012EGZ9S

The free shipping at Compact Appliance almost matches the 69$ shipping on Amazon.

No, not yet. Still waffling.

Bruce get the 43qt.. That is the same size Marco and I have. It is plenty big, imo. You just have to be selective about what you toss in there.

My only beef, is I have to occasionally check to see if the cigarette lighter is plugged in, it wiggles a bit and sometimes turns off, probably what Tim is referring to.

Other than that mine has been going strong since May 2008!

Oh, that's what he's referring to. Yeah, mine did that too, but then I got an outlet with a spring loaded hatch. That kind of pulls it in and hold it pretty well.

As I said in the first post though, I would consider selling mine, but only to get the mid size one. I have zero complaints about it other than it's pretty large for a 40. It fit the 80 fine, but I sold that truck....

x2 - I swapped out the connector with one from West Marine. A marine style plug and outlet and it holds tight compared to what it was before the change :)
