Hi everyone,

A bit delayed but I figured I'd introduce myself:

I've been lurking around here for a bit, and been on Mud since 05 when I had my '70 40. After a bittersweet parting, I went without a Cruiser for quite a long time. Well just prior to relocating to Denver, I was bitten by the bug and begun my search for a 100 series. After a long (7 month) search I finally landed myself an 05 Cruiser back in Oct. I'm really enjoying it and hope to start building her up soon.

So far, I've finished a fluid baseline, removed running boards and ordered OEM front mud flaps, and added a couple URBs.

Next up is dealing with the nightmare of getting a new set of master keys. Any tips from you local guys would be greatly appreciated.

Pics detailed in order:
1. Second day of ownership
2. Running Boards Removed
3. URB Addition
4. Favorite Vehicle Accessory: Mya!
5. Favorite Vehicle Feature: Tailgate!!

Welcome!!

I'm going to guess that more than a few people are going to inquire about the URBs, especially if you aren't on MUD a lot which I'm not anymore...I hope you don't mind that I post up some links here.

We had some club members that recently experienc what a failed stock 80 series tow loop will do and these might be good alternatives! I'm considering getting a couple for the front of my LX :thumb:

I think people are taking this "Expo White" thing a bit too seriously.

Welcome to the forum Oakleyguy!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'm glad I found the rarest color of LC!

Count me in for an "Expo" white run!

Welcome.

What's up with the keys?

The previous owner was gracious enough to break and throw away both of the master keys, so I'm stuck with the valet key. I was kicking around the idea of getting the the key blank and pieces from ebay and then having the dealer program the new one as a master, but I wasn't sure of how cooperative they would be.

Also, Now with front mud flaps!

I believe there is a Toyota deal of some kind on the first replacement of a lost key. I think I got a new master for under $300. I read horror stories of needing new ecu. 45minutes and I had a new factory key with remote unlock.
