View Full Version : Ouch. My brain hurts...

After a much needed week off, I am now buried in some wonderful reading material that starts off like this...

Various methods such as gravity concentration, flotation, panning, pyrometallurgy, cyanidation etc are available for the extraction of gold metal from its ores.

I'd much rather be back up in the mountains, skiing with my :Princess:es or getting the truck dirty...

You into mining? That is pretty cool.

Please.

A review of case record establishes that a proffer is not appropriate at this. Accordingly, this case remains in mediation.

That's a direct quote. Yes, the failure to complete the sentence is in the response.

I'm not a lawyer, but I spend enough time with a few, that I probably ought to be at this point. ;)

I read about gold mining, railroading, and the laws and history of those topics to escape from this stuff.

LOL. My brain too.

I use this so I can try to model the storm track of Sandy in two weeks time. My prof. thinks its fun.

I hear ya on wanting to get out and get the truck dirty.

C

C SUBROUTINES FFT99 AND FFT991

Thinking/talking about skiing can hurt too.

Meh. I don't miss it. I got a text a week or so that was the culmination of 2 years and a lot of lost personal time.

New project at work. Starting to talk to a lot of customers in the mining business (gold, copper and to a lesser extent coal). Trying to get my head around enough of the process to model it and talk about it without sounding like a complete village idiot. :hill:

They still teach fortran in school? Kinda floored by that.

Wish I could've gotten out Sunday but we had spent last week in Keystone with the grandparents. Managed some kid free ski time with my wife and spent a whole day burning laps with my dad which I haven't done in close to 20 years.

Still one of the most widely used languages in the sciences. Most of the GCM's are written in it.

I had to teach myself FORTRAN in school, although I have never used it professionally.
