Can someone recommend a winch for my car trailer? Electric, power in, and power out would be nice. A boat winch would also work if they make a big enough one. I looked at Harbour Freight and they have a few things that "might " work. I can't afford to buy a Warn or something like that. I am thinking something in the $100 range would be nice.

Mike, do not put a small winch on your trailer. You will regret it. I would go minimum M6000. You might think a small one will do it, but it does not. You will burn it out. I would rather spend $499 on a M8000 or something similar. I have a 8274 on mine and have used it a lot, sometimes close to max capacity.

Mike-

I was at Costco today and they had a 8000lb Warn knock off for 299. Good looking winch, roller fairlead, remote, and cable all included.

Just thought you might want to know.
