Where are you going? That would dictate my response.

I was hoping for a local person that spoke english. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Expedia in the Philippines. Person spoke very little english and totally screwed up my itinerary. Talked to AMEX. I could fly around the world for what they wanted for a week in Hawaii. So Corbet, to answer your question...Hawaii :)

Last time I used a travel agent it was with AAA...That was 15+ years ago. All in all it was fine for a fairly complicated trip to New Zealand but if you are not a member this suggestion probably will be as helpful as Zornff's :hill:

I like old-fashioned service. And the prices she can find are better than what I can find on line, especially if you want anything special like a certain routing, stopover, or you have a kid traveling. Julie's number is 303-680-0445.

Gary, we generally use Starwood domestically as we are members. And when I say we, I really mean my wife plans these things and tells me where I'm going.:o

Kims World Travel. 234 Columbine St. Suite 238. Denver, Co 80206. #: 303-388-3813.

Mom used to work for them. Just got me a flight to Seatle to go see her. Seems like a good place.

Gary,

I teach at A-1 Scuba & Travel Center (http://www.a1scuba.com). Give them a try.
