...horribly wrong with clampy.

latest news is, don't think it's fuel. dumped a ton of starting fluid in carb and cranked...no start.

is forward most cylinder #1? and where should the rotor point when tdc?

You sure mike didn't tamper with it? I think he has an itch to tow right now ;)

Sorry to hear about clammpy. I know nothing about those 22r's

i hit the brakes hard a few times on the way home...mike said the tranny might've downshifted when i did that

timing chain comes to mind.were you hearing a rattle upon start up.if you were there ya go.

Ige, obviously check spark and fuel (at the cold start injector) first. Usually on of those is the culprit. Here is a list of possibilities not in any particular order. Dist (p/u coil), igniter, fuel pump, shorted wiring over plenum, maf problem or broken spring for door. It may be the t-chain, however does it still sound normal when you crank?? It will sound funny when cranked. You gotta have 4 things and you're missing one. Spark, Fuel, intake Air, compression. Pop the cap and see if the dist spins?? I had my fuel pump go last summer. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
