Took a bike trip to fruita with the:Princess: and our 100lb lab. Slept in the bed of the truck which was nice until the dog threw up on us:(. Got to talking about a little more comfortable way to camp.
Got home and found this, a little sooner than I planned but we are pretty happy with it.

Planning a road trip to Washington state and BC for later this summer. Excited to get this thing on the road.

You gotta paint it orange and carry a football just in case!

Looks like some serious fridge space. Nice looking rig. Dog puke sucks in a camper too though, well and a tent.:o I know all too well:rolleyes:

That's not the fridge it's a little pantry/storage compartment.
The little black door is the fridge, still works great
Not thinking ill paint it orange but I may take up selling Tupperware to pay for it :hill:

My buddy John from college has an uncle Rico van similar to your find but not nearly as nice... I never understood why he called it Uncle Rico... I must have been living in a cave to have missed that..
Your video made my afternoon!!
My buddies Uncle Rico is actually really disgusting and he had a rat living in it.. He takes it surfing with his kids, his wife won't get near it...lol
Ok back to work for me...

What kind of mileage does it get? Gasser?
05-23-2013, 05:33 PM
No rats:eek: looking to get the carpet cleaned at some point soon.
It is a gasser, the 5.8. 351? The guy I got it from said it gets 12mpg uphill, down hill, reverse. Have not gone through a tank yet.
Has bilsteins all the way around and air bags on all 4 corners. Even with no air in the bags it drives really nice.

Air bag are keen but will look great in the scrap heap when you do coil overs and a Quigley conversion. :-)
