What year is the head and was anything milled from the head for a compression bump, or was it just machined for flatness?

Right. Is this for domed pistons, or flat?

Did you get the oil galley plug tapped and plugged?

Stock valves or did you go Chevy?

Domed from a 79 2f machined to be flat and not positive on the oil galley. Ill check it tonight. Everything was replaced with new original type parts as far as I can tell. I have the receipts.

What year are you looking for Steve?
Not sure if this is a direct bolt on for my '78. I'll do some checking...
Will you be at the Rally?

SteveH

Well - my plans keep evolving. I may just redo the head on my '78. This later head is for domed-piston engines (I believe). Yes, I plan to be at the rally.

Don't our '78s run domed pistons?

Domed is 1975 to 1979

That is correct. This is for a domed piston 2F

The head casting numbers on a 2f are:
61030 or 61031, open chamber (domed pistons)
61040 or 61070 closed chamber (flat pistons)

And I believe the f.5 head is 60051 and also possibly 60050 (closed chamber) This would be flat top piston compatible on 2f that came originally with domed pistons from what I have been reading.
