Just a friendly reminder to pay you dues if you haven't so far.

You can mail a 50.00 check to:
Rising Sun 4WD Club of Colorado
PO Box 260175
Lakewood, CO 80226-0175

Or PayPal $51.80 to sales@risingsun4x4club.org

Here is a link for the PayPal payment:

Certainly not me but a guy I know might need to cough up some money! Just wanted to confirm that this is still an acceptable route?

Hey Scott,

When are they due? I paid this year a while back in the spring. Are they due now or do we pay after the first of the year. I can't remember.

Also, can we elect to just pay the Rising Sun dues and not the other amounts that go to the other groups? I would like that option, if possible.

So, just pointing out here, but if you send the money via family and friends and use a bank account or balance, there is no 1.80 fee in paypal.

I think that might be only if you go from one personal account to another personal account. I'm pretty sure we get charged the fee on all transactions.

I am still only interested in paying the 25.00 fee to Rising Sun and not the extra 25.00 to be split for the other groups.

Do members have that option or is 50.00 the only option?

It's $50 or nothing. We need more time (and your help) to better assess the add-on organizations, and ran out of runway before 2014 renewals. So it's same as always for this year.

You bet! And we really do need help with this- in the best case, we'd like the Colorado Association, United, BRC, CUSP, COHVCO, and others presented at one of our meetings later this year (after Moab), with the opportunity for each to be presented with benefits, costs, past endeavors, etc. The list would look a lot like past recipients of our Philanthropy donations.

It's not a trivial task though, the only way to do it would be to divide & conquer. Months would be June, July, August, and if need be, September. Wouldn't have to be a personal visit, someone could instead just speak for 15 minutes based on a couple phone conversations and/or email exchange, on behalf of whichever organization they spoke with. Then we consolidate all of that info into a more "a la carte" approach to membership next year, where it's $25 for RS plus whatever other options are agreed upon.

And if this can't all happen this year, then odds are good we'll be right back where we are again today a year from now. So if it's important to you, then hopefully it's important to you to be a part of the process.

Me not being a member YET, but i'm a member of another club in Colorado, I pay those other fee's already to those groups ( if the groups are the same ? )

I would probably be an associate member once I sign and pay the $25.00

BUT, I might just pay the full $50.00 due to I like to support those other groups.

Plus Rising Sun may make me pay the $50.00 anyway ?

Brings up a question, is Rising Sun still part of The Colorado association OF four wheel drive clubs ? I did not make the meeting...to cold and I wimped out.

And speaking of renewals, new this year is a "March cut-off date" for our roster update. So you have until the March meeting to either renew in person, or renew on line for 2014 to be included in the roster, which is what will go out to all of our sponsoring vendors. Put another way, if you don't renew before March 5 then you won't be included in that.

March will also be when the Member's only section of the forum here gets updated.

Hey Ray, yes, as we said at our meeting the night you were there this won't be a problem- anyone who's already a member of those other organizations (United & Colorado) you don't have to pay again, we can accommodate. We're still members of both. In fact it's this type of situation that's validating the proposed change here.

Hey just bumping this up... remember we'd like to get our list to vendors nailed down and issued after the March meeting.

Has been a pretty sweet year so far for member's only deals- an LED light bar group buy, an awning group buy, a RTT and locker group buy.. and shoot February's not even over yet. That's beside the regular deal you'll get on normal Toyota parts from Stevenson West, or stuff from some of our other supporting vendors. Pretty easy recovery on investment... jump off the fence, yo!

Treasurer News Flash:

Rising Sun is now equipped to accept credit card payments at monthly meetings! We have acquired a merchant account and the required hardware and software. You will be able to pay by VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express starting at the March meeting. :) There will be a $1.38 convenience fee included in your card transaction for a total of $51.38 to get your annual dues paid. See me at the meeting to take advantage of this option!

Hey guys - I finally made it to a meeting last night and submitted my application. I've been on a few runs with the group but work has always been in the way of making it to a meeting. I had a great time meeting more of you and learned a lot last night too. I just paid my dues through Paypal and look forward to doing more with the group in the future!

Cool, Matt. Welcome to the club! We'll get you voted in next meeting. Be sure to remind an officer that your vote is pending. And keep an eye out for our sporadic Central Breakfast Club meetings, right here in the north Denver hood!
