Thanks to Jeff for leading this. I had a good time with my Dad and kids. The trail was a bit of a beater. My under carriage and sliders got a workout. I'm glad my control arms, mounts and skids were aftermarket and beefed up. A few others were not so lucky and took various damage. There were about 8 of us. With about about half new to RS. They all had great attitudes, a good time and learned a lot. We had 2 other 3rd gen runners with us and another one behind us in another group. So that was rare and kinda cool for me.

As Breckrider60 (Christian) was driving by me I noticed his tie rod bolt was loose and bent. Randy helped complete a trail repair for him. Glad Randy had a spare heim joint and bolts. A few others had some other issues. So we didn't finish till about 5pm. I70 was was a non issue coming home. What I would consider normal for a Sunday. I got no pics. Someone please help me on that.

Thanks to Jeff for putting this run together. Fun day on a challenging trail with great folks.

Rachel took the pics, so I'll see if she can post some. She's pretty bummed right now as she threw a connecting rod in her mini truck on the way home from the meet-up spot. We're looking for a replacement 22 RE (http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/forum2/showthread.php?p=234714#post234714).

I, too, would like to thank Jeff for leading this run and everyone else for letting us tag along! I had a great time and look forward to more of the same in the future. Sorry, to hear about Rachel's rig:(. On the bright side, she was undoubtedly my kid's favorite part of the trip. I'll post up some pics when I get them uploaded.

I mangled this tree trying to get up a flat faced 30" rock with 32" tires on my Driver's rear:p:

And a few more random shots:

This guy was pretty much fed up with pinballing around the rear of an 80 by the end of the day:o

As previously mentioned, Rachel was by far my kid's favorite part of the day. Thanks so much for putting up with them Rachel:bowdown:

Jesse at ATLR sells new 22re engines if you are looking for a long block. I have one in my son's 4runner. Runs great.

My son and I had a great time! It was a nice, small group, with well set up rigs and good drivers. As Scott mentioned, mechanical issues were fairly minimal and the weather was great. It even rained a little bit while were on the rock hill. I took a bunch of pictures. I cut them down to 640 x 480 so they'd fit on the forum, but if anyone wants any at a full 8,000 x 6,000 let me know and I'll get them to you.

More rigs on the first hill. I haven't done this trail since 2010 and there is now a bypass around the main part of this hill that didn't used to be there.

Thanks Jeff for leading us... And thanks Scott for letting me follow your lines...

Learned a lot on Sunday ( our first run through Spring Creek)....and unbending and/or replacing a control arm is a cheap price to pay for all the fun we had....will be up and running for this week's clean up run.

We dropped down into Georgetown after the meadow and came up on the "rockslide", it wasn't that bad at all...unspotted might not have been fun, but very doable if you walked it first.

Oh good, I was a bit worried about what that may have ended up. How was traffic on I-70?
