I am going to finally get the license this summer. I have practiced over and over on some of the mock exams, but I am at a point where I need to learn a few of the sections to make sure I can pass the exam.

Did you guys use a book? If so, which one?

Did you guys use an online resource? If so, which one?

Thanks- I picked up a clean Yaesu 2800m on Ebay for a good price, figure I better make the license official now :thumb:

The practice test on that site are awesome. That's all I used for the Tech exam and when I have the time, and energy, I've been using them to start studying for the General.

All I used was this: http://www.kb6nu.com/tech-manual/

It's free and you can download it and print it out right now.

It's all here in a sticky on the forum thanks to Seldom Seen. I believe he has updated the notes so if you know everything in that sticky and oms law you will pass easily.

take a couple practice tests and your done.

A while back while I was in search and rescue a bunch of us did the "weezer" method. Buy "Know Your Talking" from Radio Shack. Then in the question pool in the back of the book read the question and correct answer only. Do this until you have the question pool memorized. Then go take your exam. At the time there was a "Technician" and "Technician Plus". Things have a changed a little but the weezer method worked great.
