View Full Version : TTR90's?

These seem to be the same price or a little cheaper than the comparable CRF90. Anyone have any experience with them? The electric start seems like a nice thing to have... even if you're 8.

Ok I may just go first then. Looking at both the TTR90 and the TTR110- The 90 has 12" wheels front and back, 3 gears, and a 624.8mm high seat. The 110 has a 14" wheel in front, 4 gears, and a 670.6" high seat. that's a 1.8" height difference. Both have the auto clutch and e-start.

Gavin is like 52" tall now? He's sketchy on that 50cc CRF, it's too small for him. Last time out he was in 3rd and WOT at times. I'm thinking 110 now, anyone?

The CRF70 has a 14" tire up front as well, and seat height is 26". So I think from a size perspective the TTR110 is similar to the 70. Did Gavin ride Sam's bike up on Argentine? I'm sure the size would be good and gives him a bit of room to grow into it, and the extra power will keep him interested. :moto:

He sat on it but didn't ride it. 670.6*.03937= 26.4" so that's actually lower than I thought, good to know it's about the same as the CRF. It looks like the 90 has a 14" wheel in front as well, must have misread the specs yesterday because it's obviously bigger in the picture http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/3961943831.html

I will get Jake, now 11, a bike and gear after the first of the year. I really appreciate all of you guys leading the way. I went down to Performance Cycle in Denver today and spent about $1700 on protective gear (Arai helmet, Sidi boots, Klim pants, Fox chest armor, a jersey, and service parts). It was expensive, but they were excellent and i highly recommend them as an alternative to trolling CL.

I'll see you on the trail soon. :)

Hey Jeff Jake's welcome to try out whatever we end up with.. you can even borrow the 50 for a bit when/if we get something else. I know that's too small, but how to start, shift, stop, and pick it up are universal lessons..

Hey maybe we can hit the dirt track together at your neighbor's some time! In fact, check it out from Google Earth, he must have just groomed it or something... :lmao:

He's got a TTR90 and really likes it. Easy to start, still pretty small, easy to handle. I think he could handle the 110 now, which seems like a much better bike, but I'm glad we didn't just jump over to it as it would have been pretty intimidating. I think a big kid on a small bike has a lot more fun than a small kid on a big bike...
