Hi guys-

I'm a new prospect with the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (RMRG). RMRG is based in Boulder and is a Volunteer organization. They are offering this Avalanche training and it's open to the public. If you are interested please contact Mike at the address below. See you there!

Every year RMR hosts a dry-land avalanche transceiver trainings for the general public. The namesake for the event (Joe Despres) died in an avalanche above Yankee Doodle lake in 2001.

This year, the trainings will be held on November 30th and December 1st from 6:30pm-9:00pm at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. If you'd like to participate please let me know. There are introductory and advanced sessions available.

Mike

RSVP required to Mike.Griffin@rockymountainrescue.org. Spots are limited

Cost?

So these are avalanche awareness? If they are AIARE or A3 cert classes, I could use a Level 1 refresher which I would guess happen independent of these sessions.

Dave-

Great questions. The course are free, but with limited space. As for the certifications, I'm sorry I don't know that info, but please contact Mike, he should be able to answer your questions.

Good luck.

Paul, will there be any other dates coming up? I am out of town for these two dates.

Chris-

Sorry, but from what they said tonight they only offer this once a year.
