So, we've been out of town for the past few days. Came home to find the downstairs toilet leaking with the wood flooring completely saturated and warped. I've shut the water off to the toilet and drained it so hopefully it won't get any worse. Definitely didn't notice it before we had left. Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a contractor/handyman that I can get to come and fix it all up?

Hope everyone had a good turkey day...

Try to get it slowly dry and see what it looks like. But get it dry. If it only leaked a little the floor might come back. If you can change oil you can install a toilet or trouble shoot a toilet. Youtube is your friend.

See how the floor looks dry before you start paying someone.

Post a pic please.

I've had a fan blowing on it the past couple of hours. Here's a couple of pics. Looks like it's leaking where the tank meets the bowl but only on one side. A bit worried by how the floor looks.

Awesome. On the way to HD.

Thanks very much for the offer. If it looks like I can't get what I need at HD, I'll be in touch.

$5.02 later and the toilet no longer leaks. One of the bolts fell out just by jiggling the tank. Floor boards dried out pretty well too. Thanks for the pointers.
