Hello!
After about 2yrs of planning I will be moving the family (wife and 3 boys under 5) to Louisville next month! I feel like I have been in outdoor exile living in the east coast for the last 3yrs, too many people and not enough open space to explore. I was given the opportunity to move for work, and honestly I am straight up giddy to be moving to Colorado. Im hoping that I will be settled in enough to attend the March meeting, so that I can start getting plugged into the community.

Matt

Awesome, Matt. There are a lot of places to play in your 80 around here. We look forward to getting to know you and hitting the trails!

I thought Louisville was full? We'll take another Virginian though

Wesintl, no joke, trying to find a rental close to my office has been an interesting adventure. The housing market is really competitive, even for DC standards!

As to the Virginian thing, I'm actually a 7th generation Oregonian, but I've been chasing my career around the US for the last decade or so (lived in Louisiana, California and Virginia). I'm really hoping that Colorado will be where we can settle in for the long run.

Oh great...another Matt.

Just kidding. I'm 2-3 miles from downtown Louisville; it's a great community with lots of good stuff for families and kids. Good luck with the move.

I'm a old Virginian. A huge change in pace here. Welcome to the slow lane. There are other places a little further north of where your looking. Just saying...

Yeah one of my requirements was finding a house close enough to the office so that I could bike to work everyday and effectively retire the cruiser from DD duties. Now I can make it more of a dedicated trail & camping rig :D

where's your office?

Welcome!

My office is north of Hwy 36 off of McCaslin Blvd and I found a house just north of old town Louisville. So it looks like I have multiple interesting bike routes to chose from :D

I lived in Louisville for 7 years, it's by far my favorite place I have ever lived. Small town feel with quick access to the City and the hills. You'll love it, there are quite a few club guys up here on the north side.

You'll need to come out sometime to our North Side Toyota Breakfast Club... only the coolest folks attend. ;)

Welcome to Louisville! You've probably noticed there is a high percentage of Cruisers up here. I live Just north of the new construction happening at SBR and Centennial Drive. Northside rules! :D:thumb::thumb:

I'm also a Northsider straight east of your office...in Broomfield. I work two exits south on 36.

You will love Louisville...and especially biking to work. I try to bike a few times per week when there's no snow on the ground.

Welcome to the area!

I'm a fellow Matt, fellow cyclist, and fellow 80 guy. Welcome to heaven! We moved here from Oklahoma two and a half years ago and have loved every moment.

Loads of great rides all around you. PM me if you're interested in a companion on the road or MTB trail. I do some racing in the spring and summer and am just getting back into MTB.
