You've been longing for a new 34" tire for a while... someone over in 100land just ordered a set of these. Super Swamper IROK ND.

Looks like they offer them in a 305/70R16LT, load range D though. But those numbers math out to exactly 34". Swampers are pretty good with that, my experience is they tend to be a little bigger than a comparable BFG or GY. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/305-70R16LT-IROK-ND.aspx?t_c=13&t_s=536&t_pt=101509&t_pn=SSTIND-18

At $170 each, man that's tempting... :D

You and I are definitely on the same page - I saw that this morning on Mud and did research immediately as I've been wanting a 34" tire. The only problem with the 305 size is that the actual measurement is a measely 32.8" :( Here's the size chart for that tire. Interestingly though, the SSR Swamper in a 285/75/16 variety measures at 33.9" according to their website. It's nearly double the price though!

Looks like the 285.75/16 is a 33.0 not 33.9, wait I think you were referencing a different tire

Man you both had me all excited.... I really want a 34 vs. my 33.3s Especially in a slightly wider tire.

I might stop by 4wheel parts and stand one of these up next to what I have.

What I really need are new 17" wheels, then I could run big horns in a 305/70/17 12.2 wide and 34" tall perfect combo...

my experience with Irocs and swampers in general, get a 36, that ought to be right about 34"

Right..the SSR 285/75/16 is 33.9" the Irok ND 285/75/16 is 33.0" and the Irok ND 305/70/16 is 32.8". The SSR looks to be a great tire and the perfect size for what I want as well, but they're much more expensive unfortunately. The downside to both tires in those sizes is that it appears they only have 2 ply sidewalls. My biggest concern with the 285/75/16 Duratracs is the thin sidewalls on a heavy 100. Here are the two tables for Super Swampers:

I have been running Maxxis Big Horns for a couple of years and really like them.

This last go round, I had the centers syped and they seem to be a touch less noisy. Maybe that is crazy but the syped center really has made them a better snow and ice tire than the previous set.

I like the 305/70/17s cause they are a 34 but only 12.2 wide, similar in width to a 315/75/16 BFG AT KO.

But the BFG is a 34.6" in a 16 vs the Big Horn in a 17 at 34"....hmmm

So with that said might be really dumb to buy 17' rims just to get Big Horns in a bigger size. Might as well get BFGs and .6 inches taller since they are the same width.

Actually on second thought, Corbet is wanting a 36" tire... sorry about that.

Ok, continue on with the 34 talk.

I'm liking those. When my Nittos wear out on the 60, those might be the ticket. Anyone have experience with how fast they wear?

Yah, 36" ;)

If I could find a set of 18" wheels I liked, I'm considering at the Toyo MT in 315/70r18. They measure out at 35.7" http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/open-country-mt-off-road-maximum-traction-tires

4Runner's and GX had some 18's OEM but are only 7.5" wide at best. Too bad Hutchinson does not have a 6 lug DOT headlock wheel. Then all I'd have to come with is a huge wad of cash.

Now you 100 series guys can go back to talking about 34's:tongue2:

ooo I'd love a narrow 34 or 35. The width of a 315 has kept me from going larger diameter. I've always wanted a mythical 285/85/16, but since its not going to happen, I too did a bit of searching for 18" rims to possibly run a 295/70/18 but I too didn't find a good Toyota rim with proper backspacing, etc.

Those Irok's look really nice as well. If only they were a hair taller. Though I swore a long time ago to never purchase from 4wp again....even though that is a really good price.

Discount Tire can order in Interco tires for you and they will match 4WP prices (or better prices if you can find them). I used to always get my TrXus muds from them. :hill:
