Ever heard of this vendor? They claim a Boulder address.

I don't know long he(they) have be around but I've never heard of them before. Any first hand experience?

edit: clicking on any of the categories goes back to the home page so I'm guessing it's a rather new site.

Website not working past homepage.

I don't like websites making these sort of claims: "Colorado’s finest retailer of Off Road and Import Performance Parts! We are located in Boulder, Colorado and sell the largest selection of Off Road and Import Performance Parts anywhere!" How about newest striving to be the finest? Why unsubstantiated? How can you be the finest when your company is ten days old? The Colorado Secretary of State has his Trade Name registered January 27, 2014 "Callahan Off Road and Imports" for "RG CALLAHAN ENTERPRISES LLC" 898 Shuttleworth Dr, Erie, CO 80516.

He says he has been on MUD three years as "Johnny Everyman" http://forum.ih8mud.com/general-miscellaneous/794147-just-wanted-say-hello.html and changed name to vendor "CallahanOffroad". This appears accurate and he posted as a vendor.

So, all the best to this new business and more local support to Toyota enthusiasts.

Hi Guys, yes, that is me, that gigantic... picture... staring... creepily...
I am real, my site is new. As you can obviously see from my corp reg I just registered Jan 27th. I am building my site by hand, so somethings will and somethings won't work its still underdevelopment! I add a few more things every day to the website. No I'm not some guy out to scam all the Toyota owners in Colorado. To answer your questions, yes I am in the Boulder area (I live in the eastern suburbs), and I do actually exist (you can even skype me to verify!) I am just an online-based parts shop, I specialize in Land Cruisers and Subaru WRX/STi's. If you want you can call me on the phone, or email me what-so-have-you.

Mr Markofsky, I don't mean to offend you when I say that I believe I am the finest retailer of Land Cruiser Parts. If I said "newest" it would suggest that either A: I have no idea what I am doing, or B: that I am a cheap-bargain-basement store. I am not. I am sorry that you are offended by the idea of me being so fine, but quite frankly... I am pretty good looking ;-). I'm just messing around. I say "finest" because "finest" is a qualifier that describes my customer-service, not my parts selection. As I state on the home page, my business is all about customer-service. Just like Ritz-Carlton hotels are the "finest" because of their customer-service, and the quality of their rooms.
Anyways, I look forward to getting to know you two better in the years to come, and hope any misunderstandings can be overlooked and we can all someday become good friends!
Thank you for giving me the time to explain myself,
Ryan Callahan

Welcome Ryan!

I would encourage you to come check out Rising Sun at our next meeting, March 5th.

Are you a Toyota 4x4 owner? TLCA member? Will you just be a parts vendor, install shop, repair shop, all of the above?

I'd rather see a Land Cruiser than a Jeep on your website though ;)

Didn't someone mention Callahan Offroad at the meeting this week?

Good luck with your new business. :thumb:

Thanks Fishy, Yes I will be coming to the meeting next month. I sold my LC last year and in the market for a new one, and I will also be a vendor (hopefully a repair, install and build shop in the coming years.)

I agree I would rather us a LC picture on my site too! I just couldn't find anything that didn't have a picture of someone in it!

There might be a few folks here with great pictures ;)

I personally think Daniel is right in a few ways. I too love it when a site or company puts up grandiose claims when they have only been in business a short time. Do you have a store front or just a drop shipper, could not find a address for you(nothing really wrong with a drop shipper. Store fronts have a bit of permanency to it, rather take the money and run). Time will tell if you are the "Finest" in anything. I do wish you the best(yes I truly do). I do find it hard to find faith in your marketing ideas, but again only time will tell(especially in Boulder).

just curious, what makes you better than say cruiser outfitters, who has a proven track record of being one of the finest vendors out there? or slee, another proven finest vendor? what do you have to offer? why should anyone consider you over them and many others that have a track history of good business?

Just like Ritz-Carlton hotels

I think you just earned a nickname.

You'll only offend me if you refer to me as my dad again.

Welcome aboard Ritz!

You can't say this..
"Colorado's Finest Purveyor of Land Cruiser and Subaru Performance Parts."

and have a picture of this as your webpage header....

Welcome Ryan. I like your style & energy!

But... You gotta change that picture!

Vendor initiation? Someone get the pillow cases and blankets, I'll get the bars of soap. Blanket party!

Well if you aren't vetted by the end of this thread, might as well throw in the towel. Lol. These folks are fiercely loyal to their vendors only because they've proven their worth on all fronts and have weathered the scrutiny. I know I'm one. If you truly stand by your statements you'll do fine. Don't and the word WILL get out. I'm sure you know all this, but there it is anyway.

Might I suggest, "we strive to be Colorado's finest..." Shows some humility and respect for the established finest we know and love. Just my :twocents:

thanks for the feedback guys.
Like I said, I'm still in the process of building and developing the business. So, all things are still in-flux. My new re-re-re-designed website is only an e-commerce site at this point, so there's nothing to become enraged about as of yet.
